    Third Annual Women's March YYC

Everyone is welcome at the Women's March YYC. This event is accessible, open, and inclusive. We march snow or shine.

    Timeline and Route:

    • 12 NOON, March starts outside Bankers Hall (315 - 8 Ave SW downtown)
    • 12:30 PM, Speakers & Performers at Municipal Plaza (800 Macleod Trail SE)
    • 2:30 PM, End of gathering!

Want to have the best March ever? Bring some friends. Dress for the weather. Carry a sign. Sing along. Celebrate our diverse city. Keep it civil, focus on peace and inclusion and learning.

Women's March Canada would like to acknowledge that Calgary is on the traditional territory of the Métis, Blackfoot, Ktunaxa, Stoney and Tsuu T'ina peoples. We keep this acknowledgment at the forefront of our march and thank the Métis, Blackfoot, Ktunaxa, Stoney and Tsuu T'ina peoples for allowing us to gather.

On January 21st, 2017, all across Canada, we marched together in solidarity with Sister Marches around the world. Today, in Canada, we March On.

WE BELIEVE THERE IS STILL WORK TO DO.
    AND SO, WE MARCH ON.

On January 20, 2018, March On Canada - Calgary will be in solidarity with cities across North America for this anniversary event. Speakers/performers to be announced.

March On Canada - Calgary is a grassroots group of women that formed from last year's march and includes those who originally organized it. We welcome input and feedback, especially from Indigenous women and Women of Colour.

First, we marched. Now, we move forward.

On January 21, thousands of Canadians, many of us waving signs and wearing pointy-eared pink hats, gathered in cities and towns across the country to show solidarity with the massive Women’s March in Washington.

Help us have consistent, year-round funding, donate monthly.

Today, our mission is to inspire, unite and lead the charge for the advancement of women across Canada. Our vision is to make equality of women in Canada the new norm.

All dollars raised will support Women's March Canada efforts moving forward. At this time, Women's March Canada, while registered as a not for profit organization, is not a registered charity and we are unable to issue official donation receipts for income tax purposes.

Our organization needs community support to keep going!
