Q: Why do you want to run for office? (150 words or less)
A: The increasing polarization in our political arenas alarms me. I live in Elizabeth May’s riding, and she has been an inspiring force of nature demonstrating how to be a real politician – working with others in parliament regardless of political stripe where their values and interests to protect democracy, the environment or citizens align, and speaking up with data and respect to disagree when they didn’t. I want to emulate that at the municipal level.

Q: Why do you want to run for office? (150 words or less)
A: Leadership matters! Sarnia has so much potential, and that is no secret. Now is the time to open the door and let our light shine. I intend to lead Sarnia into a new era of dynamic growth. I have proven over the past fifteen years as a City/County Councillor that I can make things happen for the people of Sarnia. I have worked with City staff and Council to lead this community forward. 30 years with the same Mayor is long enough. It is time for a Mayor to foster a healthy and productive working environment for all City staff and Councillors, because this is when we can push Sarnia to its full potential. I have carefully crafted a five-pillar platform, focusing on the issues that Sarnians need taken care of the most. These pillars include leadership, growing our city, improving quality of life, planning for our future, and managing our money. I am ready to get to work as your next Mayor of Sarnia.
