Q: Why do you want to run for office? (150 words or less)
A: I am running for office because I believe in politics that is hopeful and courageous. Representation matters, bread and butter issues matter and we deserve to resolve those things, in ways where no one gets left behind. #OurWard3 is a dynamic place, with an incredible sense of community. Yet, we continue to face challenges in affordable housing, safe streets, robust transit and maintaining healthy neighbourhoods. We’ve heard those concerns repeatedly as we knock on doors and engage with residents. I’m determined to accelerate progress in Ward 3, by listening to and working with our neighbours so that everyone feels they can be a part of the process – whether they are in ages 8, 18 or 80.

Q: Why do you want to run for office? (150 words or less)
A: I am currently running in this election for school board trustee with the Grand Erie District School Board. I am the incumbent and would like the opportunity to continue on the path of change for this school board. I was born and raised in this area, my children all attended schools in this area, so this gives me a unique perspective to bring to the boardroom table. My background is in small business accounting, giving me experience with budgeting, business management and corporate decision making. We have serious issues like cyber bullying and teen suicide that need to be more seriously and actively addressed with participation from the whole community. Let’s continue to educate students and teachers on environmental issues and the responsibility to protect our natural resources.
I believe in inclusivity! Let’s make our whole school system completely inclusive for ALL students!
It takes a village to raise a child, so it will take our whole community to raise the thousands of students within our district. Let’s team up together to make a difference.

Q: Why do you want to run for office? (150 words or less)
A: My experience in management, accounting and governance will add to a team of trustees who can prepare annual budgets, oversee large projects, and discuss grant opportunities.
I am also hoping to open conversation about the needs that are unique to each of the public schools (elementary and secondary) that are cared for by Lambton-Kent. The unique needs throughout these areas include: student bussing/transportation, special education/educators, full time teaching positions, air conditioning, french-immersion programs, four First Nations partnerships, health & physical sciences education, adding and strengthening course outlines that streamline thinking toward the possibilities of trades or agriculture as career options, we currently have a “college and university” streamline.
