    Q: Why do you want to run for office? (150 words or less)
    A: I am running because I believe that we need to elect a regional council that is more reflective of the community. Female councillors make up 37.5 per cent of our current council. Our region is one of the most racially and culturally diverse regions in Ontario, and in Canada. However, our current regional council is completely missing out on the wealth of racial and cultural diversity that our community is rightly so proud of.
    I am passionate about the challenges facing our community and the opportunities that arise when we work together to address these challenges. I am running because, like you, I want:
    • A vibrant, diversified and innovative economy;
    • Housing that is accessible and affordable for all income levels;
    • A public transit system that can keep vehicles off the roads;
    • A community where everyone feels welcomed and belonged, and
    • Decision-making that is fiscally responsible, socially compassionate, and environmentally sustainable.

    Q: Why do you want to run for office? (150 words or less)
    A: I have recently retired from the WRDSB after 31 years. In the last seven years as Mgr of Corporate Services, I have participated as their Parliamentarian in all Board of Trustee Meetings. This experience provided me with the opportunity to observe, learn and reflect on where I could make a difference. I would be honoured to use my knowledge and experience to benefit the students and parents of Cambridge and North Dumfries.

    Q: Why do you want to run for office? (150 words or less)
    A: I have been a municipal politician for the last 5 terms and a school trustee before that. I encourage women to run through a campaign school. A politician has voice and vote to improve the environment and the lives of women and children. I like helping people and making their lives better. And full of opportunity whether, through housing,,daycare, public health,transit, poverty reduction, drug strategy clean water and air
