Elect Pro-choice Feminists Survey

Women's March Canada wants to help thousands of women run for office at federal, provincial and municipals levels. If you're alarmed and angered by current issues for women, children and families in Canada, we're asking you to step up.

We'll be offering pro-choice feminists resources that will help your campaign.

Let us know you're interested in running for office by answering each of the following 9 questions. When all 9 questions are received and reviewed, you may be eligible to be featured on "Our #WomenInPolitics List" and our social media channels.

Q: Why do you want to run for office? (150 words or less)
A: As a mother and an active advocate against poverty with the Alliance Against Poverty, I cant help but feel driven to ensure a better future for Ward 2, the community surrounding it and its children, mine included. My feeling is that I have been striving for both self improvement and the improvement of my community for a while now, and how better to do that then to jump in the ring and fight to be the voice of those I may represent.

Q: Why do you want to run for office? (150 words or less)
A: I decided to run for office because I am the only young woman of colour running in the entire Region! I’m inspired by the young women of colour making change all across the world and I want to step up. I plan on bringing underrepresented and diverse voices to the table in everything I do, and consider myself a devoted intersectional feminist engaged in lifelong learning about how others live and experience our communities, cities and systems.

Q: Why do you want to run for office? (150 words or less)
A: Our Northern rural communities in Ontario need passionate, knowledgeable, and strong voices representing their interests in public education. My children attend a community school and the voices of students, parents, and taxpayers need to be heard. I am an advocate for community, Indigenous education, parent engagement, innovative programming, and safe and reliable transportation systems. Achievement, Wellbeing, Equity, and Engagement are very important, and I believe I am the voice our community needs. I am a positive choice to represent our children’s best interests.
