Maternal Health in Canada Survey

The work that Women's March Canada does, our vision and values can be explained in a unifying framework called H.E.R.S., which spells out the women’s rights priorities of Health, Economic Security, Representation, and Safety.

Women's Health

When it comes to women's health. we believe that healthcare is the foundation of women’s well-being and economic stability. Women’s March Canada advocates for access to affordable and inclusive women’s healthcare regardless of nationality, age, race or ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or disability.

Women's March Canada believes in reproductive freedom. We do not accept any cuts or restrictions on our ability to access quality reproductive health care services, birth control, HIV/AIDS care, and prevention, or medically accurate sexuality education. This means open access to safe, legal, affordable abortion and birth control for all people, regardless of income, location, or education.

Maternal Goddess

The mission behind Women's March Canada is to inspire, unite and lead the charge for the advancement of women in Canada. Maternal Goddess is a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the physical, mental and emotional well being of women and their support system in their postpartum journey.  We have united with Maternal Goddess and applaud their goal to create community designed to support women's postpartum needs.

Maternal Goddess' mission is to ensure every mother - regardless of their socioeconomic status - has equal access to resources required for their recovery in the fourth trimester, to improve their quality of life with lasting long-term effects. Maternal Goddess aims to fulfill postpartum advocacy for women in the fourth trimester by supporting mission “H” in the Women’s March Canada HERS framework.
