Join us for an opportunity to gather together in listening, singing, sharing and drumming in support of the families and spirits of missing and murdered Indigenous women within our communities. With potentially 4,000 women, as well as the countless family members, effected by colonization and violence, this is a time to call on our government and communities to respond and support.
Though this is but one day, we hope to inspire more work to be done in the many days and years to come to abolish violence against our women.
We thank Shq'apthut for hosting this event, as well as support from VIUFA Status of Women. We honour the family and community members whose lives are effected by this daily and have the strength to share.
